Make Healthy Barbecue with Your Slow Cooker

Slow cookers are wonderful for making healthy recipes. This healthy barbecue beef made conveniently in your slow cooker, has only 110 calories per serving and 8 grams of protein. This healthy low fat recipe also only has 5 grams of total fat.

Serve it over whole grain bread or buns.

Healthy, Low Fat Slow Cooker Barbecue Recipe

Ingredients

1 lb extra lean ground beef
1 cups finely chopped celery
1/2 cup finely chopped onions
1 tbs heart healthy margarine, like Smart Start
1 tbs brown sugar
2 tbs Worchestershire sauce
1 tsp salt
1 tsp yellow mustard
1 cup tomato sauce
1 1/2 cup water

Directions

Lightly spray a non stick skillet with baking spray. Brown the beef and veggies.

Place beef, veggies and the rest of the ingredients into a slow cooker.

Cover and cook on medium for about 4 hours.

Serve over bread or buns, with a green salad.
