Beach Body 10 Minute Trainer Abs Workout

I've been doing the Beach Body 10 Minute Trainer workouts for about a week now and I really like the ABS workout. Having strong abs is about more than just a flat stomach, although that's one great benefit. Strong abs helps strengthen your spine and low back as well, helping your posture and helping to prevent low back pain. As we get older, we need strong abs, or core muscles, to help with our balance too because these muscles help to stabilize our body.

Yoga and tai chi focus a lot on core muscles and strong abs. The 10 Minute Trainer includes a 10 minute yoga flex workout too, which is good.

You can purchase your own 10 Minute Trainer program. from Amazon.com. You can also Sign up for the Beach Body Membership or become a coach and pay just $59.93.

I schedule every workout in the Wowy.com gym (everyday someone who schedules and finishes a workout, wins a prize!) Membership with Team Beach Body and use of the Wowy supergym is free. You can scedule workouts, start a blog or chat with others using different Beach Body programs and track your fitness and healthy diet goals.

In the Wowy Supergym, you can put in the Beach Body workouts you do and automatically set up a workout session. If you want to do other workout activities, like walking or jogging, you can schedule those too.

The 10 Minute Trainer is great if you can only exercise for 10 minutes and you get a good aerobic workout. You can focus on different parts of the body on different days and by the week's end, you've worked out your total body and had a good stretch too. Even if you combine 2 of the workouts, you still only need 20 minutes to accomplish a lot.

Even though you're only working your abs for 10 minutes, you work up a sweat and the workout isn't easy. There are 20 moves in this exercise session, all done for 30 seconds each. Tony Horton does show some easier variations of the exercises if you're a beginning, like me.

The 10 Minute Trainer helps you lose both weight and inches. I've lost 2 pounds this past week without really changing my diet.

New health and fitness articles are posted on the Team Beach Body website continually and you can use fitness tools to help you plan meals, figure your own healthy body weight and caloric needs and find out what your body fat is.

Easy Low Fat Meatloaf Recipe

The classic meatloaf recipe your grandmother used to make, probably contained bread crumbs, a fatty, low nutrient mix of bread crumbs, ketchup, and whole eggs. It tasted good but bread crumbs and ketchup aren't exactly superfoods and many are trying to avoid whole eggs due to high cholesterol.

A meatloaf recipe can be delicious AND nutritiously low fat though. Here's a few tips, followed by a healthy meatloaf recipe. This recipe is just one of many on the Team Beach Body website.

You can find dozens of healthy recipes like this one on the Team Beach Body website. Sign up for the free membership. You'll find nutrition tips and healthy recipes, plus you can get a personalized meal plan to help you reach your fitness goals.

Tips for Healthy Meatloaf Recipes

Start with extra lean ground beef, or either ground turkey breast or extra-lean ground turkey. Make sure the label says "extra lean."

Instead of ketchup and bread crumbs, add grated veggies, like carrots and bell peppers. This is a great way to slip veggie in on your kids without their even noticing!

Use nutritious rolled oats instead of breadcrumbs, which give you more fiber too.

Separate out the egg yolks and use only the egg whites in the recipe.

Use herbs, spices and seasonings instead of commercial ketchup for real flavor.

Bake your meatloaf recipe for about an hour at 350 and then let it sit for 15 minutes so flavors can blend more effectively.

This meatloaf recipe is also high protein, with 24 grams per serving, plus veggies for extra nutrition.

Ingredients

1-1/2 lbs. extra-lean ground beef, ground turkey breast, or extra-lean ground turkey
2 egg whites
1/2 tsp. chopped or mashed garlic (you can place garlic clove in a zip loc, close and mash to avoid getting that garlic smell on your hands)
1/2 cup chopped onions
1/2 cup chopped green or red pepper
3/4 cup finely chopped celery
1/2 cup grated carrots or other veggies of your choice
1/2 cup unsweetened tomato sauce
1 cup rolled oats
1 tsp. Dijon mustard
1 Tbsp. dried parsley
1 tsp other herbs you enjoy such as thyme, basil or rosemary
Salt and pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Mix all the above ingredients in a large mixing bowl.

Once ingredients are blended, place in a loaf pan and round the top.

Bake for one hour or slightly longer, depending on the size.

Allow your meatloaf to sit for 10-15 minutes after taking from oven.

Serves 6.
