Healthy, Low Fat Breakfast Burrito Recipe

Healthy Breakfast Burrito Recipe


This healthy burrito recipe offers over 21 grams of protein.

Ingredients

1 10-in. whole wheat flour tortilla
3 egg whites or 1/4 cup egg substitute
2 Tbs shredded, part-skim mozzarella cheese or other cheese with 5 grams or less of fat
1/2 slice lean ham, chopped
2 Tbs salsa
Nonstick spray oil
Salt and pepper to taste or healthy herbs and spices

Spray a frying pan with nonstick vegetable or olive oil spa and put over medium burner.

Add eggs. Cook 2 minutes

Remove eggs from pan and spoon onto tortilla.

Sprinkle the eggs with cheese and ham.

Add salt and pepper or herbs and spices of your choice.

Create a burrito by rolling tortilla and egg, ham and cheese mixture and wrapping in a paper towel.

Microwave for 10 seconds and serve with salsa.

Roll tortilla and fillings up "burrito style," wrap in a paper towel, and microwave for 10 seconds. East your healthy burrito with a little salsa.
