Why I Love Holy Tea

Dr Miller's Holy Tea - 1 Month Supply
I've always been a big believer in detoxing but many products or programs are harsh or complicated. I've never been into starving myself or living on fruit juices for several days.

I discovered Holy Tea through a friend who sent me a sample. Holy Tea is a safe, natural detox tea that you can drink every day
. The sample pack is 2 teabags and makes a week's worth of Holy Tea. I brewed it up and drank it according to the directions. Much to my surprise, after the week had gone by I'd lost about 2 lbs, most of it in the stomach area. After eating way too much Easter candy the preceding weekend, that detox felt good!

I try to keep the excess sugar out of my diet most of the time because I have had problems with Candida Yeast in the past. I think detox is really important for keeping the toxins and wastes cleaned out of my body so I don't end up with diseases like cancer in the future.

After my first week on Holy Tea, I felt lighter and cleaner inside and had more energy.

You can even order a week's supply of Holy Tea from Amazon.com The sample size is 2 tea bags, which lasts a full week. Once you try Holy Tea, you'll be amazed at how much better you feel.

Being Healthy is Easier than You Think!

If you watch the news or read the newspaper or even watch Oprah, you probably have noticed the growing list of "shoulds" for your health. You "should" eat 9 servings of fruits and veggies, you "should" drink 8 glasses of water a day, you "should" exercise 3 times a week. Of course these are just basic ones. There are hundreds more out there! Do you get tired of being told what's good for you?

In my opinion, most people do already know the basics but hearing it all the time tends to make me feel guilty if I don't measure up. I could have perfect health, never get cancer, never be overweight, never crave sugar, never have diabetes-IF ONLY I were perfect when it comes to health.

If you're like me, you honestly do your best. What I've come to see is that if you do your best most of the time you'll be ok. If you even try to be moderate when you do any of the "shouldn't" you'll still be ok. Nobody is perfect, least of all when it comes to health.

I used to smoke cigarettes but I quit when my daughter was born. At one time, I was really addicted to cigarettes and reading articles about getting cancer and wrinkles didn't help me to quit. Heck, I even worked in the operating room and saw cancerous lungs first hand and didn't quit. In my daughter, I found a reason to quit that was more important to me than my wish to have a cigarette.Do I still miss having a cigarette once in a while-yes, lots of times. But I can still score one for me that I don't give in to it anymore like I once did.

I used to be a binge eater too. I could sit there all day and tell myself I shouldn't eat a box of donuts in one sitting but I'd do it anyway. I could read articles on the dangers of obesity and diabetes and that didn't make me run for the salad bar either.

I used to be very depressed at times. Not just getting down once a while but a deep, dark sadness would settle over me. Like being surrounded by a black cloud where I just couldn't get out or figure out what to do.

So, these days, I'm not a binge eater and I'm also not depressed. When I think back about how I got from where I used to be to where I am now, I can see that it was a long, slow process. I took small steps toward being healthier and happier but each step made me feel better and better.

I started taking vitamins which I think my mind and body must have desperately needed. I started walking every day and I tried to eat healthier food. I also started educating myself on health and well being. Not just reading about dieting to lose weight or trying one diet after another to drop pounds that came back every time. I wanted to really become a healthier person AND a happier person.

I started reading books by Wayne Dyer about changing my thoughts and once my thoughts started changing, the rest fell into place. Once I was happier, I didn't want to binge eat and I wasn't depressed. When I'd get down, I'd write out a plan. What can I DO to make this situation better. And then I'd ACT on the plan until I felt better. Feeling powerless is the worst feeling in the world but there's no need to be powerless.

Each and every person has to decide for themselves what they want to change and create a plan to change it. Take small steps at a time, steps you can live with and continue. But if you have a day where you want to eat chocolate all day, just do it! Dont' feel guilty. Maybe your body is craving magnesium (which is in chocolate). Just go with it for the day. The more you fight something the more you draw it to you.

What I learned from Wayne Dyer is that whatever you think about will grow. If I thought about health and well being, then that's what grew in my life.

So, now instead of getting annoyed by the constant barrage of health advice out there and knowing I'm probably falling short, I just ask myself if taking that advice is something I can or want to do. If it's something like "take more Vitamin D to prevent colon cancer and help build stong bones" I can do that easily. If it's "drink 8 glasses of water every day," well, I give it a shot but it hardly ever happens.

Along the way, I have discovered some important things that make me feel better and don't cost too much money. One is green tea, which I've grown to love. I credit green tea with improving my immune system and keeping me from getting colds and flu like most people do.

Another important thing I do is eat LOTs of fruits and veggies. I know, I know-this is one of those hard to do recommendations-getting 9 servings a day but I really credit this with helping me keep my weight down and my mood up. My body really craves all those nutrients now. Here's a few easy ways to get fruits and veggies

  • Buy fruits and veggies fresh when possible, not canned (which contain added sugar) or dried. Frozen is also good as fruits and veggies are usually frozen soon after picking and retain most of their original nutritional value.
  • Add a piece of fruit to each meal and make a fruit salad for every dinner.
  • Keep carrots and celery washed and cut up in your refrigerator so it will be easy and convenient
  • Add lettuce and tomato to your sandwich or wrap and take you own lunch to work.
  • Eat at the salad bar when you eat out or need to stop for fast
  • Try many of the 100% juices such as cherry and pomegranate instead of soda or sugary drinks.
  • Get concentrated, whole fruits and veggies with Nuriche

So how did I go from being an overweight, depressed binge eater to being healthier, happier and at a good weight for me? One step small at a time! In fact, I'm still taking steps, sometimes forward, once in a while backwards. But overall, I'm taking more steps forward and that's what I focus on.

Detox for Weight Loss, Clear Skin, More Energy

For several years I've tried to limit the toxins I take into my body. I eat organic food, I use organic skin and body care products and I drink lots of water to keep my body toxin free. One other important thing I added recently is a safe, natural detox to keep my body running smoothly.

In the past I tried detox plans like the cabbage diet, the lemonade diet and a couple detox products. They were very harsh and after a day or so, I couldn't stick with them. I knew detox was important but these methods just didn't work for me. If you're like me, safe, natural means are much more appealing.

A friend sent me some information on the Holy Tea Club. Holy Tea is a safe, natural detox tea that you drink every day. The literature said Holy Tea could aid weight loss, especially in the belly area, increase energy, help clear up your skin, help digestive problems like acid reflux and irritable bowel syndrome and much more. My friend sent me 2 bags of tea, which is a week's supply and I decided to try it.

Try a week's supply of Holy Tea

After nearly a week on Holy Tea, I have actually lost 2 lbs and I feel cleaner and lighter. I know I've eliminated A LOT of wastes from my body and feel more energetic-despite the daylight savings time change! (my husband keeps telling me it's all in my head that the time change is bothersome but I know differently).

I was so impressed with Holy Tea that I joined the "Holy Tea Club" which meant that I'll get my month's supply each month at a discount and with free shipping. Then I'll always have my supply on hand and won't have to remember to order.

Holy Tea is made up of safe, natural herbs which are gentle to the system and can be used every day.

If you suffer from lack of energy, skin problems like acne or rosacea, irritable bowel syndrome or allergies of any sort, I'd recommend at least trying Holy Tea. You can order a week's supply to try it. If you do try it, start out slow until you know how your body will react. It only makes sense that all of these conditions can be improved by removing toxins and wastes from your body.

If you're looking for a great home business that will help a lot of people, you might look into Holy Tea. You get a free website when you sign up for the auto-ship plan so it's there for you to promote if you want to.

Tasty Smoothie Recipes

Do you have trouble getting the recommended amount of servings for fruits and veggies? A smoothie is a great way to get 3 or more servings. I start every day with a smoothie and here is one of my favorite recipes made with green tea.

Start two cups of green tea, made with three tea bags so it's nice and strong. Pour the green tea into a blender and add any or all of the following:
  • banana-source of potassium for heart, cells and muscles and fiber for digestive health
  • four ounces of yogurt, flavor of your choice-great source of probiotics for digestive health
  • a handful of nutritious blueberries or strawberries to boost immune system
  • tablespoon of whey protein-this provides luecine, which spurs weight loss
  • a dash of cinnamon for reducing your cholesterol and regulating your blood sugar.
This healthy green tea smoothie is packed with antioxidants, protein, vitamins and minerals and makes a quick meal. If you'd like to add some fiber, throw in a couple of tablespoons of oatmeal.

Blend until all ingredients are smooth.

Try other ingredients too for variety:
  • orange juice-Great source of vitamin C for your immune system
  • a scoop of whole food or fruit and veggie powder
  • mango, kiwi or other fruit or berries-source of vitamins and antioxidants
  • a spoonful of honey for anti-virus protection
  • add protein with peanut butter or almond butter
  • Cherry juice concentrate for muscles and joints
  • try different flavored green teas for variation
  • Add a scoop of Nuriche for live, whole food nutrition!

One thing great about smoothies is that you can add anything that suits you and change ingredients daily according to your needs at the moment. Smoothies can also be made ahead for a quick breakfast on the go.

PS Kids love these so a smoothie is one easy way to get fruits and veggies into them in a way they'll enjoy.

Miessence Organic Skin Care

I've always been very careful about the products I promote. I want them to be as natural as possible, organic if possible, and the company has to be honest in its dealings and have great customer service. I prefer promoting products I actually use, as opposed to signing up with some company just to make money. A company I promote has to fit into my overall concept of promoting health and wellness, which is what I do on my health website.

Recently, I found a company whose mission is very similar to my own-promoting the use and importance of organics. This company is ONEGroup which sells Miessence, MiVitality and MiEnviron which are all organic products for your skin, hair, body and home. Not only can you purchase products on the site but there each product offers a complete list of organic ingredients so you know exactly what you are getting when you're shopping.

ONEGroup also offers education on what the organic movement is and why organics are important .There is a great list of potentially toxic ingredients contained in most health and beauty products so you can check the products you are currently purchasing.

What led me to ONEGroup was an article I was writing about the toxic ingredients in toothpaste. When I checked the toothpaste I was using which was supposed to be "all natural", I discovered several ingredients in it that I didn't want to be using!

As much as possible, I stick to organics in the food I eat and the products I use so ONEGroup seemed a perfect fit for my lifestyle and my beliefs.

You CAN Be Healthy-One Small Step at a Time

Today there seems to be almost too much information out there on health and wellness. Hundreds of books and magazines, forums, websites, all aimed at telling you how you should iive your life to be healthier. Many just give up in frustration.

Where to start living a healthier life? One small change at a time. Everything you do is a choice. Make the choice often enough and it becomes an ingrained habit and you feel you have no control over it. You can change that by remembering that you are always in contol. You always have the power to make a new, different or better choice.

Start with one thing you'd like to change to live a healthier life. Start small because small victories add up. Choose one easy change and do it for a week. After some of these, I''ll put a link to my health and wellness website in case you'd like more info. Here's a few to try:

1. Drink 3 cups of green tea per day. Read about the health benefits of green tea. Not a fan of green tea? Try flavored brands. There are dozens out there. Drink it hot, try it cold. Add a slice of lemon or orange.

2. Drink 4 large glasses of water every day. I know, that's basic. But not drinking enough water can cause low energy, plus water flushes toxins from your body.

3. Get at least 7 hours of sleep each night for 7 nights. No matter what. No excuses.
Have trouble sleeping? Try these natural remedies

4. Add Superfoods to your diet. Just one or two per day for 7 days.

5. Instead of reaching for a sugary snack, eat a piece of dark chocolate-at least 70% cacao. Milk chocolate and processed chocolate has additives and sugar and probaby no effect on health. Read about the health benefits of chocolate.

6. Resolve to spend one week not complaining about anything! Instead, when some criticism comes to mind, turn your thoughts to something you're grateful for. Learn how to use the Law of Attraction to live a happier life.

7. Try deep breathing several times a day, especially if you feel stressed. Read about how to do deep breathing and why it's important.

8. Eat each meal mindfully. How do you learn to live more mindfully?

9. Love sugar or using artificial sweeteners? Try using Stevia instead. Stevia is a natural plant with zero calories and sweeter than sugar. Studies have found no downside to using stevia. More on Stevia

10. Resolve to prepare dinner at home for one week using healthy, delicious recipes. If you don't eat dinner together now, as a family, resolve to do so for one week. Dinner time is a terrific bonding time! Need healthy recipe ideas?

This is the tip of the iceberg but if you resolve to do one thing per week, learn to make it a good habit and build on it, before you know it, you're living a healthier lifestyle. You'll have more energy, fewer illnesses, your body will find it's proper weight and you'll be anxious to find more good health habits to add to your regime.

My Path to Healthy Living

I started on the Path to Healthier living about 15 years ago. I started my own home daycare and got a case of upset stomach and diarrhea that lasted for 6 weeks! Rather than take medicine, I decided to look for a natural remedy and that one search led me on a wonderful journey to more natural living.

The first natural remedy I learned about was ginger. I bought some ginger root, made tea out of it and drank about a quart of it a day. It cured my problem very quickly. I was hooked. I thought if something so safe and natural as ginger can work, then what other great remedies are out there?

I began making a study of vitamins, herbs and alternative medicine and I developed a passion for sharing what I'd learned so that other people could lead healthier lives too. After several years of studying physical health, I started reading books on spiritual health as well.

I've learned that 70-90% of how healthy we are is totally in our own hands. Genetics only plays a small part and can be overcome through healthy living. Good nutrtion, exercise, getting plenty of sleep, doing relaxation techniques to feel calm and at peace, all these things affect how healthy we are and how well we age.

Some of my favorite authors:

Dr. Andrew Weil-very practical and common sense, uses research, not fads to give advice. He has a wonderful book called "Healthy Aging" that everyone should read. The younger you are when you read it, the better.

Dr. Wayne Dyer-His books literally changed the way I look at life and death! If you have issues with your past, perhaps there are people in your life you can't forgive, or you have difficulty living in the moment, read Dyers book "10 Secrets for Inner Peace and Success" and "Being in Balance". He also has a new book that's great called "Change your thoughts and Change your life." Every book of his that I've read has helped me in some significant way.

Dr. Oz - One of my favorites. I'm now reading "You Staying Young" . It's witty, practical and very entertaining and understandable. Packed with terrific information on staying healthy.

Michael Lossier- The Law of Attracton- when I first started hearing about the law of attraction, I realized this the way I've always lived and what I believe in. We get more of what we think about-what we focus on is what grows-so be sure you are focuing on things that are good and pure and set aside negative feelings and ideas.

Things that have helped me most:

Simple deep breathing has taught me to relax and not take life so seriously.

Meditation-just 5-10 minutes of quiet time a day can work miracles.

exercise-I walk for 45-50 minute a day and have for many years.

Helping others-it takes my mind off myself and whatever problems I may think I have at the moment.

I believe we were put on earth to learn and grow and love others. Every day is a new experience to be treasured and enjoyed. By focusing on all that is good in my life, I have seen that goodness grow!
